Our team is right at the heart of the gaming industry this week. Any guesses where our little goslings have landed? Of course, we’re in Cologne at Gamescom 2023! It’s hard to imagine an event of this scale, where so many passionate people — who’ve dedicated their careers and lives to games — gather in one place. And trust us, it’s as epic as it sounds.
We started prepping for Gamescom a month in advance, giving our portfolio a shiny new update, carefully choosing which companies to meet, and setting up the meeings. We packed our best case studies—and, most importantly, our comfiest sneakers (because when you’re waddling around all day, comfort is key). Gamescom is one of those rare events in the GameDev industry where you’re faced with endless opportunities: too many cool things happening at once, and you want to be part of it all. From expo stands to presentations, lectures, business meetings, parties, after-parties, and networking — it’s a total excitement. If cloning ourselves or extending the day was an option, August would be the perfect time for it.
